Are overnight guests beginning to show up at your door this time of year? How about guests that you forgot were coming until they called and said, “See you in a few hours!” (True story!🤦🏼♀️)
Whether or not your guests are planned or unplanned I’ve compiled a list of my favorite ways to get your guest bath ready for the extra traffic.
Clean and de-clutter. The easiest way to make your guests feel comfortable is to provide them with a clean space to use. You can also put away any non essential decor items to free up valuable counter space for all of their toiletries.
Speaking of toiletries, I like to devote the top drawer of my guest bathroom cabinet to extra things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, and shampoos and conditioners, just in case they left home in a rush and forgot to pack theirs. I let them know when they arrive that they can help themselves to anything in the drawer. Depending on how long they’ll be staying you may also want to stock up on toilet paper to avoid any unecessary embarrassing moments.🙈
Plush towels and washcloths will also make guests feel welcome. If you’re short on space try draping the extra towels over a blanket ladder, and make sure to check your shower curtain before guests arrive in case it needs to be replaced.

If there’s enough space add some fresh flowers or a scented candle they can use in case they want to soak away all of the travel stress. If you want to go above and beyond you could hang a cushy soft robe for their use, but I’ll leave that up to you. If you make it too cozy they may never want to leave!
If you know you’re having guests prepare ahead of time. That way you can focus all of your attention on having the best visit possible! Schedule your free call with me today if you’d like help making a space in your home company ready!
