The Perfect Small Space Sofa

· small spaces,small sofas,apt sofas,spatial planning

For the majority of our 15 year marriage my husband and I have lived in small houses. In fact, our first home didn't even reach 650 sq ft! Finding a sofa for such a tiny space was a daunting task, especially since I didn’t want my guests to feel like they were sitting on top of each other.

Over the years I've learned that cozy isn't always a good thing. (I mean sardines are packed in pretty cozily right?) I've also learned that you don't have to sacrifice comfort just because you're short on space. So is there a sofa out there that's small enough to fit in a spatially challenged room, but also comfortable?

You betcha! Actually, there's a whole list.

First, let's take a look at the the Brandon sofa from Simplicity Sofas. I love the modern design and you can customize everything from the foot style, to cushion style, fabric (or leather), and firmness. It also boasts being able to fit through 15" entrances and stairways. Perfect if you're not just dealing with a narrow living room.

Next, let's look at the Holloway sofa from Joybird. Those gorgeous curves are giving me all the feels. It's also customizable. You can choose between different wood stains for the legs, and several fabric options. Plus, if you're just starting out, they offer financing.

If you want a sectional, look no further than the Klaussner Grove Park sofa from Sofas and Sectionals. Not only can you choose from hundreds of fabrics, but you can also configure it to your specifications.

Feeling a little blush now that spring is on its way? Check out the Delilah sofa from Apt2B. The bolster pillows add a little glam and if you get tired of the tufted buttons, flip over the cushion and enjoy the tufted pulls on the other side!

Finally, if you're living tiny but would like to have overnight company La-Z-Boy has you covered. Their space saving Kennedy sofa is also a sleeper! Try a fun, bold pattern to really jazz up your small space.
