Hi there! Just wanted to share this living room refresh I recently did for a client/friend. She and her husband had already remodeled the space using different shades of gray on the walls, floor, and some of the furnishings. When I entered the picture she was rethinking some of their choices, and wishing she could make the room feel more like her coastal style. I assured her we could warm up the gray, and make her space feel more like the seaside escape she longed for.

Here are a few before photos:

My plan for the room included toning down all the gray by playing up the colors in the pretty fireplace tile. Bringing in some natural elements like jute and rope, and adding some blues also helped to create a more coastal vibe.

While the majority of the furniture stayed, she did ask me to help pick out a couple of accent chairs and a side table. She had just gotten rid of an oversized recliner, and her family was giving her grief about not having enough comfy furniture to lounge on lol!

Along with her wish list I also tried to implement some of her husband's and daughter's wishes as well. Comfortable chairs were a must, and all of the speakers had to stay right where they were!

And now for the after:

I loved seeing her happy face as she told me that for the first time ever this space reflects her personality, and as a bonus her family loves it too. Especially the La-Z-Boy recliners I snuck into the design.
