Paint Colors of the Year 2019

January 3, 2019

I feel like every year I start this blog with the same question: Can you believe another year has gone by??? It's crazy to me how quickly time is flying, and how much my life has changed in just a year. This time last year I was not a mother, and we were living in an Air B&B trying to decide if we should give up on our builder and just buy a house that was already finished, or stick it out even though they kept pushing back our closing date. (If you'd like to see what we decided to do click here.)

I'm beginning this year with my husband, our six month old son, and a home that we are completely content with. 2018 ended up being a fabulous year, and I'm excited to see what's in store. I hope you are too!

If repainting your home is on your to-do list this year, then this post is definitely for you. I've rounded up the most popular paint companies' colors of the year, and there are some gorgeous hues that made the list. Now you can complete your project instead pf pouring over paint chips for countless hours!

I'm starting with Pantone's Color of the Year choice: Living Coral. It's described on Pantone's website as being vibrant, yet mellow, embracing us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment. Sounds heavenly lol.

Benjamin Moore has chosen Metropolitan this year. Metropolitan is a soft relaxing light gray that will fit perfectly into the sophisticated modern interiors of 2019.

Behr's choice is a personal favorite. I love the color blue, and this one is a restful mid tone that would be refreshing in just about any space. It's called Blueprint.

Sherwin Williams' Color of the Year is called Cavern Clay, and makes me think of earthy Southwestern styles. It's incredibly warm and inviting. I'm hoping to incorporate it into a design project this year.

There you have it. The top color choices of 2019. What do you think? Did the paint companies get it right? Let me know in the comments below.
